Mechanical Treatment Neodymium magnets are brittle, heat-sensitive and oxidise easily. · When drilling or sawing a magnet with improper tools, the magnet may break. · The emerging heat may demagnetise the magnet. · The magnet will oxidise and disintegrate due to the damaged coating.
